Welcome to the world or shorts and slang,
where nothing is subtle, everything is BANG!

LOLs for Laughter and :( for sad,
SORRYs have been replaced by 'my bad',
LMAO and ROFL have taken over chats
and WTF and STFU users are no longer brats.

:) :D ;) and :P are the latest trends,
and ASL is necessary to be friends.
U'v gotta get used 2 dis next-gen lang,
4 da world is now addicted to this slang.

    I really like your poem and I definitely share it in my class.
    I had to select a poem & an author, that connected to my interpersonal communication class and I chose this because it connected to the verbal and non-verbal concept of slang communication.

    My class liked it and they said your poem is so true!
